Direct Planning Industry makes it possible to configure the trade data you need for planning. Whether the jobs are manually entered or directly imported from your information system, you’ll find these trade data at the scheduled job level.
Direct Planning Industry proposes many configurable data structures: entities, reference data, configurable areas of job and flags.

Entities: your customizable, structured data
Entities enable you to model structured data lists. They are often commercial or production data. You can configure up to 10 entities.
Examples of entities: the sales person, the customer, the article, the commercial order, the production order, the family, the sub-family, etc.
Beside the code and the wording, each of these entities has 10 configurable fields. For example, in the customer record, you can configure a phone number, an email, the name of the main contact, the delivery town and country, etc.
It is also possible to structure entities. Thus, the customer will be linked to a sales person; the order will be linked to a customer. This way, it is easy to get the list of orders of such customer or sales person.
It is essential to structure the entities well. These data will play a key role in job retrieval and coloring.

Reference data
Reference data designates data lists represented by a code, a designation and a colour.
These can list sales reps, product families, cutting-dies, colours, etc.
Reference data is used to set a type for the many fields that Direct Planning enables to customise (in addition to the traditional types: integer, text, date, etc.).
Reference data then impacts multiple levels:
- Inform: Windows can be configured to display this data.
- Colour: jobs can be coloured according to specific reference data. For instance, colours can discriminate cutting-dies.
- Affect programmable formulas defining setting times and work rates.
Configurable areas of job details
Beside entities and technical items, 10 configurable areas are available on the job itself. A further step towards customizing.
Moreover, each job features a rich text notes area. In these notes, you can easily insert clickable links to documents (Word, Excel, PDF, Images, etc.). For example: technical data sheet, production order, work order, CAD file, etc.
